ABB Unveils Smart Power Solutions Tailored for Ghana at Strategic Partnership Event with JUAL Group

ABB has introduced a suite of smart power technologies that promise to make power safer, more efficient, and future-ready for homes, industries, and institutions across the country.

Held in Accra, the strategic partnership event between ABB and JUAL Group brought together key players in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Leading the presentation was Mr. Adeniji Adoyeji, ABB’s Sales & Marketing Manager for West Africa, who unveiled the company’s advanced electrification solutions with a focus on sustainability, digitalization, and local adaptation. Emphasizing the theme “Electrifying the world—safely, smartly, and sustainably,” Mr. Adoyeji positioned ABB not just as a supplier, but as a trusted long-term partner for Ghana’s development.

Smart Technology for a Resilient Energy Future

ABB’s power solutions span a wide spectrum of Ghana’s infrastructure needs, covering residential buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, schools, industrial plants, and public transport systems. Featured products included high-performance circuit breakers (Emax 2, Tmax XT, Formula Series), Automatic Transfer Switching (ATS Lite) systems, and the innovative Panel Pro—a smart interface for next-generation switchboards.

Also on display were softstarters (PSR, PSE, PSTX) that optimize motor control, and the AF Series Contactorsalongside protective gear like sensors, motor protection circuit breakers, and emergency stop systems. A standout was the SACE Infinitus, a solid-state circuit breaker that eliminates arc-related hazards while delivering superior energy efficiency—signaling a major leap in electrical safety and performance.

ABB also introduced its digital platform, ABB Ability™, which allows real-time energy monitoring, predictive maintenance, and system analytics—critical for institutions where uninterrupted power is essential. Supporting products like residual current devicessurge protectorsarc fault detectors, and intelligent enclosures ensure robust and long-term power protection across environments.

Powering Progress Through Partnership

Beyond products, ABB celebrated 100 years since the invention of the Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) by Hugo Stotz—an enduring symbol of safe electrification worldwide. This historical milestone underscores ABB’s legacy of innovation and reliability.

The event also highlighted the strategic goals of the ABB–JUAL collaboration, which include localized manufacturing of control panels, stock availability of ABB components in Ghana, and skilled job creation through technical training and knowledge transfer. ABB’s vision aligns closely with Ghana’s push for industrial resilience, smart infrastructure, and green energy solutions.
